So ΔABE is an equilateral triangle and Angle EAB and EBA= 60°

EBC = ABC – ABE = 90˚ – 60˚ = 30˚

So Sector EBC & Sector DAE are sectors with radius 4 unit and angle 30˚

Now, the Area of shaded region = Area of Square ABCD – Area of ΔABE – 2 x Area of Sector EBC
