The given pie chart shows the breakup of total number of the employees
| The given pie chart shows the breakup of total number of the employees of a company working in different offices (A, B, C, D and E).
Total no. of employees = 2400
If 40% of the number of employees in office A are shifted equally to office B and E, then what is the difference between the number of employees in B and that in C?
A. 130
B. 120
C. 72
D. 82
Right Answer is: C
SOLUTION
No. of employees in C = 54o = 15% of 2400
No. of employees in B = 18o = 5% of 2400
If 20% of A moves to B –
No. of employees in A = 126o = 35%
20% of 35 = 7%
Now employees in B = 12% of 2400
Required difference –
C – B = 15% of 2400 – 12% of 2400
= 3% of 2400 = 72
