| The ratio of income of A, B and C is 3:7:4 . A’s expenditure is 12.5% more than B’s and C’s expenditure is 25% more than B . If A saves Rs. 6000 and C saves Rs. 10000, then find the difference between income of B and C .

A. Rs. 20000

B. Rs. 12000

C. Rs. 5000

D. Rs. 15000

### Right Answer is: D

#### SOLUTION

Let the income of A, B and C be 3x 7x and 4x respectively.

The ratio of their expenditure

A : B : C

9 : 8

8 : 10

9 : 8 :10

Therefore their expenditure are 9y, 8y and 10y respectively.

Now, according to the question

3x – 9y = 6000

4x – 10y = 10000

On solving the above equation, we get

6x = 30000

x =5000

therefore difference in income of B and C = 7x – 4x = 3x = Rs. 15000
